Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
[REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], trading as Blitz Mobile Detailing, is the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data.
This document contains placeholder company details. Registered company data must be supplied before this site is used commercially.
1. Who we are
[REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], [REGISTERED BUSINESS ADDRESS]. Company number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER], VAT [VAT NUMBER]. Privacy enquiries: [DATA PROTECTION CONTACT EMAIL].
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, preferred language, password hash.
- Service data: vehicles, service addresses, booking history, notes and job photographs.
- Location data: live detailer GPS position during an active job, and the geocoded service address supplied by the customer.
- Payment data: subscription status, billing identifiers and invoices. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Detailer applicant data: experience, certifications, insurance status, equipment and supporting documents.
- Fleet client data: vehicles, depots, mileage, cleanliness status and contract pricing.
- Technical data: device and browser information, push notification tokens and error logs.
3. Why we process it (lawful bases)
- Contract — to deliver bookings, subscriptions, dispatch and invoicing.
- Legitimate interests — service quality, fraud prevention, platform security and analytics.
- Consent — marketing messages, push notifications and non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and statutory record keeping.
4. Location tracking
Detailer location is shared only while a job is assigned and in progress, so customers can see arrival times. It is not collected outside working jobs and is retained only as long as needed for dispute resolution and route quality review.
5. Processors we use
We share data with infrastructure and service providers acting on our instructions: our cloud database, authentication and file storage provider; our payment processor; mapping and geocoding services; and our email and push delivery providers. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
6. Retention
Account and booking records are retained for the life of the account and for the statutory period required for financial records afterwards. Job photographs are retained for the warranty period of the service. Rejected detailer applications are deleted after 12 months.
7. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact [DATA PROTECTION CONTACT EMAIL]. You may also lodge a complaint with [NATIONAL DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITY].
8. International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Changes
We will post any material change to this policy on this page and, where required, notify you by email.
